Susan (Sue) Matthew has several decades of experience as a personnel manager, having worked in various settings, including hospital administration. She holds a Bachelor's in Government from the University of Southern Illinois at Carbondale and a Master's in Labor and Industrial Relations from Michigan State University.

Sue's passion is her family. She is mom to four daughters (her co-Board Members); grandma to five grandkids; and has been blissfully married to her husband, Jim, for 50 years. 

 

Sue is also an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), and is an avid genealogy researcher of all family branches.

​

Sue is dedicated to helping children, foster children, families, and the oceans. Her kindness, generosity, and heart of gold are the soul of the Foundation.

Amy is passionate about animals, art, and music, and blends all three in her work and daily life. For over 20 years, she has worked as a Veterinarian Assistant, caring for all kinds of domestic and wild animals. In addition, she is a professional artist, working primarily as an abstract artist, as well as an accomplished lyricist. Amy has been a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) since 2002, and has collaborated with many artists and musicians both domestically and internationally. Amy graduated with a Bachelor of Illustration from the Ringling College of Art and Design, and completed postgraduate studies in Commerce Media.

 

Amy cares deeply about the ocean, creating, and spending time with her dog, whom she is currently training.

Jennifer has 20 years of experience as a finance executive across multiple industries, including real estate, retail, manufacturing, and technology. Jennifer’s career has focused primarily on small to mid-cap companies, both public and privately-held, with an emphasis on entities undergoing significant financial transactions. Previously, Jennifer spent four years as the Chief Financial Officer of a technology manufacturer, with oversight of Legal and IT. She graduated with Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

Jennifer is passionate about gardening, sports, reading, and spending time with her family. She adores her two sons, whom she homeschools, and loves seeing them grow.

Lenore has worked with non-profits and international organizations since 2007 and has volunteered since childhood. As a former Research and Evaluation Specialist for organizations including the United Nations, Lenore holds expertise in program evaluation, evidence-based practice design, non-profit management, and grant writing as well as trauma and holistic mental health care. She received a Ph.D. and Master's in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor's in Business from the University of Oregon. 

 

Lenore is passionate about nature, yoga, active living, spending time with friends and family, and giving back to her community. In addition to her work with the Foundation, she runs an independent research lab, which explores the impacts of spirituality and intuition on people's mental health and well-being.

Danielle has 12 years of experience in healthcare and business development, as well as technical expertise in grant writing and government grant strategies. She has overseen diverse teams and helped them grow both personally and professionally. She has worked as a Coaching Strategist and is very dedicated to personal development. Danielle received her Bachelor’s degree in Public Health from San Francisco State University. 

 

Danielle has a passion for underserved communities and commits her life’s purpose to creating change in these areas. She is very active at her local church, where she serves in Ministry. She is dedicated to her family and loves being Mom to her three wonderful children.
